Most underperforming websites aren't broken — they're just carrying small, avoidable issues that add up. Here are the ones I fix most often when auditing an existing site.
A single unoptimised photo can be heavier than an entire page should be. Compressing and correctly sizing images is often the single biggest speed win available.
A site that looks fine on a laptop can have broken buttons or overlapping text on a phone. Most of your visitors are on mobile — test there first, not last.
Every page needs its own clear, descriptive title. Duplicate or missing titles confuse both visitors' browser tabs and search engine rankings.
Each extra font file or plugin adds load time. Two font families and only the plugins you actually use is usually enough for a small business site.
If a visitor can't find how to call, message or email you within a few seconds, they'll leave. A visible phone number and WhatsApp link should be on every page.
A site without HTTPS shows a "not secure" warning in most browsers, which quietly damages trust before a visitor reads a single word.
An outdated "latest offers" section or an old copyright year signals neglect. Small, regular updates keep both visitors and search engines confident the site is active.
Not sure which of these apply to your site? Request a quick audit or message me on WhatsApp.
